Specific foods are able to lower and raise your blood sugar level, however being knowledgeable about the different variations of foods to eat can become a challenge. MediSure is providing you with a list of some of our personal favourite diabetic super foods:

Chicken breast is a great source of protein, and it is also extremely lean. Compared to other meats such as steak and hamburgers, chicken is not as high in saturated fat, and does not increase insulin resistance. A regular chicken breast portion size is only 142 calories and 3 grams of fat.

#4 – Nuts

Nuts are bursting with healthy fats, vitamins, and lots of minerals. The healthy fat has been proven to help reduce insulin resistance and they are also rich in fiber and magnesium. Nuts can assist with regulating of your blood sugar.
